Alajoye Ifafumnike Falola Songofemi

 

Alajoye was born April 17, 1949 into a Christian family of Rev. Ira Thomes and Mattie Isabell McCall.  Alajoye her was her parent’s youngest of six and was named Queen Elizabeth McCall.

 

In November of 1989, at the age of 40, was initiated to Orisa Songo.  After completing her Iyawo year she was blessed because the same friend who introduced her to her godmother, introduced her to Chief Adenibi Ajamu, and this is when her true journey began.  He taught her about ancestors, Orisa, and the protocal of ritual.  She became a student in every sence of the word.  Alajoye trained, worked and was initiated into the secret society of Egun-gun in 1991. 

 

In April 2002, she was blessed to go home to the motherland of my ancestors, Atinde Hunhakounou Village in Ouidah, Benin West African.  Accompanied by Chief Ajamu, and she met her Oluwo Baba Basale who iniatied me to Ifa. 

 

Alajoye is well versed in her priesthood as an IyaOlorisa, mediumship and student of Ifa.  Her mission on this journey is to give service where needed and to help restore and protect the African culture and family. Alajoye is a mother of four children and the grandmother of six.
